  1. Improved Program 1 Pro Piano sound (more clarity in low velocity bass notes).
  2. The variation button LED is fixed (was broken in last official release).
  3. Removed program change messages from Jazz1 Rhythm (# 151) & Country7 Rhythm (# 207).
  4. Removed blank measure from Polka Rhythm (# 257).
  5. Removed accents from letters in Demo song names because the display could not show these correctly.

Past Release Notes

Installation

Start with the MP20's power off.

  1. Press and hold down the PLAY/STOP button. Power on the MP20 keeping the PLAY/STOP button depressed.

  2. On the MP20 screen, you will see a scrolling text displaying: 

           "MP-20 BOOTLOADER v1.XX"
  3. Once this text scrolls by once, the screen will display: 

           "RUN MP-20"
  4. Connect a USB cable between the MP20 and your computer.

    A temporary USB drive representing the MP20 will mount on your computer (the drive icon may appear on your Desktop, under "Devices" (Mac) or under "My Computer" (PC).

  5. Press the SELECT DOWN button. The screen will display: 

           "UPDATE SOFTWARE"
  6. Press NEXT once. The screen will display: 

           "UPDATE"
  7. Press NEXT again.

    The screen will display a message telling you to copy the .KUF update file to the temporary USB drive mounted on your computer.

  8. Copy (drag and drop) the "MP20V226.KUF" file to the temporary USB drive.

  9. Unmount or "Safely Remove" the drive from your computer.

  10. Press NEXT again on your MP20 to initiate the update.

  11. The screen will display: 

           "UPDATING ... "
  12. When complete, the screen will display: 

           "DONE"
  13. Power the MP20 off then back on normally.

    14. The update process is now complete.

To verify the install, you can check the O/S and Object versions in Function Mode by pressing the FUNCTION button. Then press the SELECT DOWN button. Scrolling text will then display the currently installed O/S (2.22.1239) and Object Versions (1.00.21).

Past Release Notes

KUF v2.22 - 5/3/13

(containing: O/S v2.20; Objects v1.00.12; Boot Loader v1.50)

  1. Very low velocity playing does not make any sound (better emulating the behavior of a real piano).
  2. Default left hand split transposition is +12 semitones (1 octave up).
  3. Program 1 is now "Pro Piano" (the previous #1 "Grand Piano" has been moved to #2).
  4. Program 2 is now "Grand Piano" (was #1; the previous #2 "Pro Piano" has been moved to #1).
  5. The soft pedal functionality has been fixed in all* piano programs.

    *Note:programs #10 "Pop Upright", #11 "Upright Piano", and #19 "Piano Stack" do not have soft pedal as part of the program, by design.

  6. Program 73 "Chapel Organ" has been updated.
